Various Community Events Send your events in here May 16, 2008 Laguna Hills, California South Coast Symphony presents THE FANTASTICKS 8:00 PM $25 - $28 23331 Moulton Parkway, Laguna Hills, CA 92653 Orange County s unstuffy SOUTH COAST SYMPHONY, presents a one night only staged concert version of the world s longest running musical THE FANTASTICKS on May 16th at 8:00pm at Lake Hills Church. A classic coming-of-age story, THE FANTASTICKS features two meddling, matchmaking fathers who scheme to get their children together. THE FANTASTICKS originally opened at the Sullivan Street Playhouse on May 3, 1960 and played 17,162 performances before closing on January 13, 2002. THE FANTASTICKS is one of the most produced musicals in the world with Book and Lyrics by Tom Jones and Music by Harvey Schmidt. John Huntington of Mission Viejo directs the stage production while also taking on the role of the Narrator, El Gallo. Joining him on stage will be John Petersen of Aliso Viejo and Ted Leib of Tustin as Bellomy and Hucklebee, the meddling fathers; Megan Starr-Levitt of San Clemente and Aaron Phillips of Glendale as the young lovers Luisa and Matt; Jack Ritschel of Anaheim as Henry, the Old Actor, and Rigo De Oliva of Long Beach as Mortimer, Henry s accomplice; with Karen Rymar of Aliso Viejo and Peggy O Neill of Mission Viejo rounding out the cast as the Mutes.
